An 8-speed automatic transmission and Rear-Wheel Drive come with the base model, and Four-Wheel Drive is optional across the lineup. An available high-output engine boosts performance to 278 hp and 317 lb-ft, while a hybrid powertrain (i-Force Max) offers 326 hp and 465 lb-ft.

The base 2025 Toyota Tacoma SR comes with an 8-inch touchscreen interface, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone controls.
