You may have heard of those roadside emergency kits for your car? Well, if you don't already have one, then it is a good idea to get one put together. You can really put whatever you want in it, but you should include a few important things. Be sure to include plenty of bottled water and warm blankets and hand warmers. You should also have a First-Aid kit and a cell phone and charger. Pack a tow rope, working flashlight and batteries, and jumper cables. You should also have flares or reflective triangles in your kit in case you get stranded and need to be seen. Bring sand, salt, or (clean!) cat litter and a foldable shovel. You should also have an ice scraper or snow brush and windshield washer fluid. If you have even just half of these items in your car, then you will be much better prepared.
