Keeping Tabs on Your Windshield Washer Fluid of Your Vehicle

Your windshield washer fluid plays an important part of your driving experience when you get into a heavy storm. It keeps your windshield clear of rain, dirt, ice, mud, and other elements in conditions where there is a constant barrage against the windshield.

Ideally, the mixture is not just water, but a combination of different efficient ingredients and a detergent to rid the area of dirt and bugs.

The windshield wiper fluid also acts as a lubricant for the wiper as it swishes across the glass of the windshield. If this lubrication does not occur, then the wipers drag and skip over the glass, and it is hard on the motors that drive the wipers.

You should check the level of the washer fluid in the reservoir tank from time to time just to be sure that it is topped off. This will prevent you running out if you happen to run into a big storm unexpectedly.
